Making Hitler into a leftie" would be harder if he wasn't a socialist. National Socialist Workers Party. And you might have a legitimate point if the Nat. Soc. Party wasn't simply a facade for Hitler's rise to power and had little to do with fascism. And it definitely doesn't explain why Hitler is such a hero for the angry, raging rightwinger extremist groups in this country currently growing by leaps and bounds because we had the inexcusable audacity to elect a black president.
