The idea that anyone who thought Sarah Palin was a poor little victim of the media also fits anywhere on the left is patently absurd on its face.

One weakness with wingers is they forget there are folks further out toward the fringe they live on than they are, and those "hard" wingers think the garden variety ideologues are wimps and traitors.

Last night Bill Maher lapsed into one of his more moronic commentaries by saying Obama should be more like Bush, not care what people think and just shove big changes through anyway.

Problem is, Bill didn't mention Bush's successful Social Security and immigration reforms....because they don't EXIST. Bush was too much of a smug, self-absorbed asshole to do the necessary politicking to get them done.

But for the purists out on the edge, anyone who doesn't heed their full agenda right this second is the scum of the earth.

As we know, ideologies aren't a spectrum, they are a circle. Extremists from both "side" bunch together at one point on the circle with identical behavior.

He's a registered "Democrat" from Maryland. There was no binary thinking involved. It's a matter of public record.
