If the situations were reversed, and Democratic lawmakers were on the opposite side of the Commander in Chief, the Centcom commander, the Republican Defense Secretary, and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs -- in the midst of two wars -- we might hear a little more talk about why Dems were at odds with the U.S. military establishment. We would hear that they were traitorous wimps who hate their country and want to put all American citizens in jeopardy. Which is exactly what we heard from Cheney for years. Until his political movement was thrown out of power and he was reduced to sniping from the distant sidelines.
