Maoris were warring, eating each other and living short and brutal lives. No wonder they wanted the British Empire to take over and make them British Subjects too. Now they normally wear pants and hats and look quite human. When the British realized what they had done, making a billion people British, they pulled up the draw bridge, cutting the colonies off, leaving them to their own devices.
