Contrast "win with any costs", the Rovian message, with "no red America, no blue America, just the United States of America" and see which one wins national campaigns nowadays.

It would be good for the Reps to run a Sarah-Newt ticket in 2012 and get their butts kicked. The rest of the party could finally say RIP to the Atwater-Rove era and move on. Maybe there is another genuine Reagan out there waiting in the wings with the actual political gift of leadership and inspiration instead of just gutter-punching instincts.

I find the same thing. A different species... Some posts just utterly whip me off my stability and make me wonder IS THIS AMERICA ? What happened to us as a people.

We were once the finest country in the world, no doubt...
