Before you short a stock based upon bad service, remember three words: America On Line. And remember, this might be Schwab's busiest day ever and they should show a nice profit so this is a buy. I had a terrible time getting through but I finally did. One of the stocks I bought was SCH at 31 and change. Should have gotten it below 30. The web page shut me out and all the lines were down. I'll deal with this next week and Im not paying more than 29 bucks.

I, too, have everything locked up with Schwab, (including holding their stock, but not for long). I did get hold of a human, she said the entire system was "a little slow". And there were "delays" logging on. FIVE HOURS?
She apologized (is this the good service?) and offered to hook me up to a broker. What for, RT quotes with spreads on all 15 equities I own? I told them I would use that time to do research on other brokers, which is why I am here. Going next to the "Best online brokers" thread to see who executed better the last couple days.
