I guess I should've made myself clear. I was thinking in terms of improving shareholder value should SGI not merge with anyone (most likely despite all these rumors). I recall SGI doing this a long time ago and it came to my mind with the IBM thing today. Of course should SGI merge or be bought out, this would not be necessary and we'd all hope for a cash out of $20-26 (my guess). Regardless, Ed hasn't done anything for sharehold value (with xcept of last quarter) on a consistent basis for a high tech company (see Grove for INTC, Gates for MSFT, Scott for SUNW, etc.). Bottomline to all of this is someone, SHOW ME THE MONEY!

Watching all of this with a little reality,
Al

P.S.: anyone seen Jeff Maresh here anymore (or did he just bail out?)
