Obama is talking at the AMA. How come you ain't there? He spent a long time talking up common sense stuff that should and will be done anyway: Digitizing medical records, reducing CYA tests -- that sort of thing. In seconds in a rah rah tone that made everybody want to jump up and shout, he plunked down universal coverage, claiming that it would actually reduce costs by keeping the un-insured out of emergency rooms. Everybody knows he wants a Canada-like system where people wait months for a doctor's appointment--if they don't die first. I gotta go pile bricks. He's still talking.
