Yeah, everyone knows the Dems are total filthy scum. Don't blame them for being themselves. You are not that obtuse, Bill. From 2000 to 2006 the Democrats had no, zero, nada, authority in congress or the executive. I know you would love to somehow feel that as a minority party, with no committee chairmanships, no setting of agendas, no voting control, no executive orders that they are responsible for the deficits of that period, including the one trillion dollar unfunded war debt. But even if the dems are "scum" as you claim, that fact had nothing to do with the mess the "fiscally conservative" republicans in power created. The Bush/McConnel/Boehner/Delay/Hastert/Frist crowd had all the power and all the ability to set a completely different tone. They could have required PAYGO on Iraw or Medicare Part D, or the Ag Bills. No excuses. Why do you think Ron Paul's candidacy created so much interest for people like Buddy and me? Not his looks. It was his concern over the lack of credibility in the two policial parties on fiscal matters..... I don't remember you on the Ron Paul bandwagon. I remember you and others criticizing him as unserious. But he was serious and he pointed the finger at everybody. Rightly. So don't worry about the democratic "scum". they would never be in complete power now if not for the republican fools that let it all get away by acting more liberal than the libs....
