So get out front supporting a Constitutional Amendment to require balanced budgets. DON'T BE AFRAID OF IT because it will 'tie the hands' of your favored bunch of politicos.... THAT IS THE ONLY WAY THAT BALANCED BUDGETS CAN EVER BE RESTORED! They must all have their hands tied. Republicans AND Democrats. (They EACH have spending programs that they consider almost 'sacred', that they are each willing to BORROW TO COVER.) And that is exactly the problem. The hard policy choices will have to be fought-out... but that will only happen AFTER balanced budgets are required.
