The first delivery month plays out like this (tomorrow is delivery):

GM stock deflated to a modest 1.25 (the calls which traded at 0.60 and plus will be paid 25c). The GM future contract gained from 0.70 to 0.80 also to 1.25, this means, the full value is realised.

Since this worked so well, market makers are now bidding for the next month, expiring in less than 4 weeks.
