Re: [just so long as your own groups favored programs are never cut.] "Really? What are my favored programs?"

I'm guessing that you are NOT EXACTLY on the side of Ron Paul when he calls for our military involvement in hundreds of foreign lands to be cut back... that that particular area of current spending (seeing the American military budget as large as the rest of the world's military spending put together) is ONE AREA where you would prefer to deficit borrow and deficit spend to continue that spending.

(I'm sure their are other ares also....)

And that you are UNWILLING to put your trust and faith in the American public --- that they would make proper judgments about what programs to cut spending on, and which ones to not cut so much --- if and when our politicians were LEGALLY REQUIRED TO BALANCED THEIR BUDGETS... just as many States are.

You are probably afraid that you fellow Americans would cut some spending that YOU FAVOR --- and that's why you don't want those choices to be made... you refuse to require BALANCED BUDGETS.

The slush that you favor, the spending that you favor, might be reduced.
