I just heard a guy on the radio that said it was an eerie echo of 1979. He said then they just had too many people out for the Shah's security police to confront, and he sees the same thing now.

Someone else said the same thing. I think the Iranians have had enough of Ahmadinejad........he looks like a weasel. I wish there was something we could do but its really up to the Iranians.

I don't know what's going to happen, but a LOT of credit has to go to Obama. He's playing this just right for the moderate Iranians.

I agree. It he were kicking and screaming (which would be my knee jerk reaction) he would empower the bad guys. Now they don't have the weapon of the hated Americans interfering.

The Iranians are doing the same thing they did during 1979......at nite, they yell things like 'freedom' from rooftop to rooftop. They are hard to catch and the calls are probably unsettling to their rulers. Plus, when there are demonstrations, people are leaving their doors ajar so people can run into their houses for safety when being chased by the police.

Iranians think very much like Americans IMO.
