Yes very good article thank you. The bureaucrats were causing patients to die in the ICU.

They sure have some cute methods of intimidation:

<physicians who fail to comply with quality guidelines from certain state-based insurers are publicly discredited and their patients required to pay up to three times as much out of pocket to see them>

and

"re-education sessions"

Generally if you are unhappy with your doctor's care, you can find another doctor. But what can you do if you are unhappy with your federal government bureaucrat's medical care? Fly up to Washington and knock on his door?

Good article! And isn't this just the truth?~~ Before a surgeon begins an operation, he must stop and call a "time-out" to verify that he has all the correct information and instruments to safely proceed. We need a national time-out in the rush to mandate what policy makers term quality care to prevent doing more harm than good.

We DO need a time out to see all the different ramifications of every clause in the bill that isn't even written as yet, let alone reviewed by the American citizens....!

Re the blood numbers for diabetics....isn't it true that when the body is under massive stress from the illness or medical problem, that the blood sugar is all over the map? I believe that is the case...and it makes me wonder that if it is tightly and artificially controlled, it would be no wonder to me that people die....It's like a rubber band that has been stretched, and then chilled, continually....eventually, and probably sooner than later, it breaks.
