You don't know what you're talking about. I do. It is what I've done for a living for the last 17 years.

Many clinics of significant size have a private office where a biller can meet with patients and discuss privately the options available to them. All hospitals have the same.

Some offices don't want Medicaid patients because Medicaid doesn't pay enough to allow them to profit from the services, and you can't collect from the patient for any NCS or other unpaid balance. But for the most part, I see clinics welcoming Medicaid patients but frustrated they often won't make the effort to get the card from Medicaid.

Many clinics DO, however, want to see EPSDT screenings, as these services can be profitable. Also, Medicaid does pay reasonably well for mental health practices, and I work with one that has about 30 providers doing mental health services -- while they do make a little money on it, it is only because the providers are not physicians and thus are not as highly paid as physicians.

In general, you just don't have any idea about the subject you're trying to discuss.

This seems to be a routine with you and RW.
