James:

SCHWAB SUCKS!
I missed an opportunity on a stock that was a screaming buy. I was in the account and had just pulled up two quick quotes. One of them, mone, was at 24.50. Went to the trade link and it shut down. Also the 800 number shut down. mone was at 27 by the time I got another quote an hour or so later.

I chose an internet account because I don't need to pay some moron to make mistakes for me. I also thought an internet account would not be as easily affected by huge volumes. I chose Schwab because they are the largest, and I mistakenly thought the best, not because they are the cheapest.

Schwab knows exactly how many accounts they have on eschwab. They certainly could have modeled the volume level where they would lock up. Apparently they don't think we are worth the extra investment in servers and communications gear.

Best Regards

Greg Gimelli

James, I was unable to exit an options position in my schwab account due to high volume. I watched my gain turn into a loss and couldn't do anything about it. Is there any recourse. What is the most effective way of handling this?
