2006 Domaine du Grand Arc "Cuvee des Quarante," Corbieres I've had this recently and it was very nice, imo. also Concha y Toro Cabernet Sauvignon Marques de Casa 2006 Both are under $20/btl.

TM-H, I'm just not expert enough on wine or wine growing to comment. The sampling of wines is a full time passion for my local wino-guru and I respect the difficult and time consuming effort he makes to fully sample complete bottles 365 days per year. Perhaps he has noted improvements in certain years for California wines or perhaps he is just perpetually intoxicated. For a long time I was convinced the finest wines could be identified by inclusion of an animal picture on the label <g> Clearly the depth I can offer in discussion of wine is limited. GT TH
