You are assuming they all pay taxes in large quantities. Don't bet on it. If they do, it's their money and they should a big say in how it is spent.

The richest voted overwhelmingly for Obama. Nothing like voting against your own interests. Same with the Jews who I understand are really rethinking that vote.

So being the richest 2% doesn't mean you know your ass from your elbow:)
