You're right of course, there should be an offset of Federal subsidies to verious Federal taxes paid. While these leftists scream about the poor, they don't squeak a peep about the enslavement of the middle class and working class through confiscatory taxes and fees, inflation, currency devaluations and gold confiscations. Which Constitutional Amendment banned slavery? Clearly the Slaves of early America received food, clothing and shelter, so they weren't really slaves? Of course they were slaves! And when the Govt takes everything we produce or have in exchange for "Govt Services", its no different than slavery.
