SGI Announcement Delay: SJ Mercury News

sjmercury.com

"... sources said board members had been initially inclined to back a milder restructuring plan designed by McCracken that would keep SGI's product lines and strategies intact. Now the board is interested in implementing a more comprehensive solution, they said."

"McCracken could stay on as chairman, he could stay on as just the CEO, he could leave immediately, he might stick around until another CEO is found," noted one source. "Part of the problem is that if the board does intend to replace McCracken, they don't have anyone to take his place."

"Although SGI scheduled a conference call with financial analysts for Thursday, some sources indicated that an announcement could come at the shareholder's meeting."

See ya there.
