"promoting democracy in the region was the point of the Iraq War"

It was about the fifth "point" of the Iraq invasion. Just settled on when all the previous one's had been revealed as total asstalk. Completely as insincere as all the rest though..

Obama's handling the Iran situation like an adult, not like a high-schooler talking trash. He's got the long view, with the good of the moderate Iranians in mind, knowing that some day, they'll rule that country and remember..

imploring the president to "take the side of democracy" and "lift a finger for democracy."

Although the left doesn't get this, promoting democracy in the region was the point of the Iraq War. Why would you just stand idly by and watch it slip away with no effort to continue the work GWB started?

Because GWB could care less about democracy in the region. His "work" as you call it was an afterthought. As for Obama's handling of Iran, he is doing it exactly right. I would explain but you would never understand....in a million years.
