Verity.

Amerindo Investment Advisors owns 12.2% of the company according to its 10/17/97 SEC filing. sec.gov

This is down from Amerindo's 18.0% stake as of 2/13/97. sec.gov

Company has good liquidity with current assets at $26 million and total liabilities of $11 million. 11 million shares are outstanding. biz.yahoo.com

I've read several past posts in this thread, and while the pessimism on Verity is well deserved, I don't agree with a bleak view on the company's future. Verity appears to have very good technology, and a recent string of press releases to support that.

Search/retrieval technology is definietly in demand with the rapid growth of information databases, and Verity is one of the market leaders. In this time of information explosion, search software is critical and adds significant value. I do not see search software as a commodity area as of yet, and Verity's expertise appears to be one of the best. I don't think Verity has much more to fall, and it has great deal of potential to succeed.
