<the only example of persecution. For reasons of science. And if I'm wrong, someone can pipe up and give me example 2.>

LOL... Oh, you're WRONG... but we'll let you stew in your misinformed hell as long as you want.

<Which means if you read a news story about the evolution of this or that, you can assume its wrong.>

Right... same with religion and everything else... no one has the ultimate truth. Is this a new revelation for you? A very judgemental group these wacko creationists.

<Evolution occurs>

Watch out... Greg or e might come over and "prove" you wrong. LOL

<but I think we know virtually nothing about it that is reliable.>

That all depends on ones definition of "know" (ie. some luv to ridicule prior knowledge because one detail was incorrect), "reliable" (ie. not if you don't think past knowledge showing the way is meaningful... one of the basics of science is some of the most useful information, hypothesis, etc. or experiments are those that turn out incorrect).

Here's a great topic you can start up on a new thread:

Coffee Talk, Religion vs Science:

"One of the basics of Science is that EVERY hypothesis, theory, etc. is meant to be proven incorrect, updated, changed, etc. YET, religions almost NEVER admit they are wrong about ANYTHING!" -Discuss
