There's nothing wrong with eugenics. Women do it every day. What's wrong with government-run eugenics is the same as what's wrong with other government-run socialist programmes. Eugenics is what got us from looking and behaving like chimps to where we are today, which is standing upright, wearing pants, ranting in cyberspace instead of screeching in the jungle, and being nuclear-armed. There is room for improvement. More eugenics needed. Men, and especially young men, normally wish women would stop the eugenics and just mate with them, right now! Women, being women, are more selective. That's why men go to brothels - it's the pretence of being acceptable. Women don't go to brothels - some men set up shop in a small way but they don't get much business. Eugenics is a very good thing. It's what the biosphere is all about. It's just the government variety which is lacking. The current government eugenics programme is to fund breeding by people who would normally not do it because it would be economically problematic for them. As with previous government eugenics programmes, the results are bad. Mqurice
