From the size of the crowd, you can see why the gov't is hesitant to crack down.

The govt is already killing people, would you like to define "crack down"?

We are on the same side on this one. I have been chatting with iranians thru folks i know. To a person, they say that they want better relations with america and non-interference in Middle East politics. Though they are symathetic with the plight of the palestinians, they do not blame israel alone, they blame arab states for creating festering sore. Its an interesting group out there. I wished them the best and told them to be safe. I think that represents thread consensus re; their well being.
PS interesting they view the nuclear option as protective of iran in relations with sunni nations and particularly with radical sunni movements that they share our fear of them attaining nukes threatening them. Interesting how similar the threats are that face US, Iran and Israel.
