I picked up some gold yesterday at 932.50 on a mini buy signal...

On the SP's, I think there are too many people waiting to buy that next lower shoulder, I don't know if that next shoulder will ever materialize, the world is not that perfect... I think one of two things can happen, either there is no second shoulder and the market will resume the rally very soon or the market will crash again and buyers of the next shoulder will be sorry...<g>

I don't know about that prediction for 2010.

The consumer, 70% of GDP, is on strike, saving like a grasshopper wincing at the arrival of the first snowflake, i.e., mightily and with gusto.

Aggregate global demand will go down.

Global production will follow.

Prices will go down.

Deflation.

Will gold do well during deflation? I think so, but so will strong currencies like the Loonie and CHF.
