Watcher, ETrade is operating extremely slow , slower than usual :-) My broker at A.G. Edwards has been hard to get hold of and he says it's slow in getting confirmations. I bought MLOG and RECY and it took over an hour to get the confirmation. Ken

Watcher, e.Schwab is useless today. I tried for 2 hours to get online with them but no luck( the 800 number is an exercise in futility also as is the local number). Finally at 12:30 EST I got through, only to be told my passwords wouldn't work. The market drop is bad enough but not being able to get through to a broker when there's a buying opportunity is really irritating. By the time I finally got connected the stock I wanted had moved and was on the way down. Oh well, it's only money. Good luck to all for a while. JR

Watcher, I an eschwab member and the service has been total sludge. I can't get past the login screen. sigh Guess I don't have to worry about doing any panic selling, or buying, or quoting or anything else for that matter. Georgec
