Yeah, it seems to me a lot of people don't understand just how bad inflation can be. That, ultimately, is where this leads.

The tejeks and CJs and RWs apparently don't have any concern over it; I suspect it is because they don't know just how bad it can be.

We hadn't been on the gold standard for decades when Bretton-Wood collapsed. Well, not strictly true. It was in a very limited and narrow effect. Individuals couldn't exchange currency for gold, or even own gold except in a few limited ways, since the 1930s.
