The UAW is largely supported by the government. It is also one half of the reason why GM needed a bailout in the first place.

Too many politicians are saying that GM failed because they didn't make the efficient cars that the public supposedly wanted. These politicians will make sure GM never makes that mistake again.

Whatever happened to letting corporations fail and letting the free market decide what fills the void? You can bet that the government will never let GM determine its own fate.
