trained but unlearned, talkative but seriously inexperience obama, surrounded by the likes of pelosi, summers, etc, all lesser lights if bulbs at all, stands a good enough chance to do a worse job than bush

because the tasks will overwhelm

Even if the Mousavi supporters calm down and accept Aminhijad's victory, Iran now has to worry about internal cohesion.

This may give Iran pause about its' intervention in Iraq.

The idea that the US has enough influence in Iran to even do a run up to a color revolution is laughable.

The fault lines in Iranian society run deep, and US influence over the Iranian players is probably small.

They would warn that: <Beijing also warns about letting the genie of popular unrest get out of the bottle in a highly volatile region that is waiting to explode. >

It must be a bit unnerving for China's rich and corrupt totalitarians to see such things as in Iran.

The French revolution was about overthrowing totalitarian overlords and the guillotine was busy for a long time afterwards. Mob rule can be very hideous indeed. So can totalitarian bosses. But the mob wins if they have the numbers.

The mob in China has the numbers. If the totalitarians start mass carnage to kill the uprising into surrender, it creates quite a lot of very very angry people with each victim having many supporters, friends, family seeking utu.

Iran is trying to avoid creating such a seeking of revenge.

Interesting times.

Excellent! Bring it on: <Egged on by the Israeli lobby, it is obsessed with "regime change". The temptation will be to engineer a "color revolution". But the consequence will be far worse than what obtains in Ukraine. Iran is a regional power and the debris will fall all over. The US today has neither the clout nor the stamina to stem the lava flow of a volcanic eruption triggered by a color revolution that may spill over Iran's borders. >

that entire article is written as a summary of the interests on behalf of oligarchic largesse....

this line is a dead giveaway; Iran is a regional power and the debris will fall all over. The US today has neither the clout nor the stamina to stem the lava flow of a volcanic eruption triggered by a color revolution that may spill over Iran's borders.

See the world with better eyes....and stop being a mouthpiece.

There must be degrees of freedom present in all things, politics does not escape.

So this summary is only rhetoric, offered under charter that only through cohesive points of view expressed as intelligent discourse do they sustain interests.

But you see there is no Degrees of Freedom present in the output of oligarchic mouthpieces, people are chattel, wars are fought to reduce strain on oligarchic resources, mouths to feed also produce opinions, minds innovation....all antithetical to the outline within the summary statement of the internationals directive for preservation of its self interest.

oligarchic failure is a certainty.

the High Ground rejects all of it....reminding advisors... at ground zero, that they are held without esteem.

theme song of oligarchic largesse.....
