What tangent? It is something I have maintained from the beginning. To recap, since you apparently got confused.

To be a scientist, you do research. The major reason for doing research is to add to the greater body of knowledge. That is done by publishing so, if nothing else, your work can be peer reviewed. It is very difficult to publish with out a PhD.

Now, try using you ability to reason to put this together. It'd be good practice for you.

Like? Usually what others regard as a 'tangent' is sticking with my original argument instead of following y'all down the various garden paths in your attempt to cloud the issue.
