What other explanation is there? You seem to have finally bought into the idea that deficit spending can result in inflation. Not so much as to th economic stimulus, but that should be clear if you accept the inflation. Yet, the deficit spending of the Bush administration resulted in little inflation, although it had started to ramp up in 2007, and modest economic growth.
