In your condition you need balls!
Lots of balls, specifically racket balls.
I keep racket balls in my car and put them under my fanny and behind my back . Also place in the middle of hamstrings and/or IT band when i drive. Keep racket balls every place you spend time sitting or lying down.

I have tennis balls for mattress use in my nightstand for all sorts of pain. Put under my back when it is hurting or for my shoulders (rotator cuff) roll on my side them position ball to the most painful spots and breath deeply. Put one in IT band move around after five minutes. Sometimes the pain is so intense i have to expel my breath as hard as i can and then amazingly sometimes fall asleep with the balls still in place.
Anyways it works.
For foot pain i first use a racket, then tennis ,then baseball to roll my feet on as i am STANDING UP with a doorframe or wall to hold on to. Crush the racket and tennis balls as you roll them.
If you can stand on a baseball and do this your feet will forever thank you. Again ice your feet and all body parts that need it.

Over the years, nothing has helped avoid lower back pain than to stretch my hamstrings.
