IDX's two cent writedown . . .

Thanks for your informed analysis, Wendell. Patents are good for seventeen years, if I remember correctly, so I doubt that we're dealing with intangibles. Has IDX abandoned some production equipment in favor of newer stuff? What can we have here?

Litigation reserve . . . We won't know how that lawsuit is going until results are announced. It would not be a good sign if there were two cents for lawyers and two more cents for litigation unless settlement were nigh. Remember, these guys are being sued personally, and that's pressure. Kind of ironic, isn't it, that what we could have is a pivotal quarterly result knocked down from six to two cents to protect shareholders.
