THey don't have enough smart guys like you there working for them. Of course, you're probably right about that ;) But the reality is there isn't the will to do it. Nobody gives a damn. Because it is government. It simply doesn't matter if they're worse than anyone else because there is no alternative. Argue for improvements, rather than destruction. Oh, I want improvements. But you can't get improvements. A few years ago United Health Care eliminated its precertification program. Why? Because they determined it was a waste of THEIR time, a waste of physician/staff time, and didn't generally improve outcomes. Now, had that been Medicare, the precert program COULD NOT have been eliminated. They simply don't do that -- eliminate requirements. They may add more but they'll reduce them.
