The way the world is today, if you want to get your message out to as many people as possible, you use English. A large percentage of Europeans can read it, and the same is true in other countries, particularly amongst those with an education.

Oh, I see. Those messages were directed not at the US, but at the Brits.

Look, I can see arguments on both sides of this.

But what we've seen is the US going from being the leader to being a follower. I'm sure you and Obama are fine with that, but I'm not.

Liberals have blundered their ways through foreign policy for years. Totally incompetent. Jimmy Carter. LBJ. Clinton.

You people just don't understand it. We're stuck with Obama for 3.5 more years. I don't know how much damage he can do, but he has not shown leadership through this particular incident.

Well, the Supreme Leader fukked himself good when he arrested the relatives of Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, including his eldest daughter. In addition there now is a martyr of a young woman dying in the streets of Tehran from a bullet fired by the police. Change is coming to Iran but how extensive is yet to be seen. The fighting among the clerics is giving the people an unusual opportunity. I hope they are able to capitalize on it.
