My concern was about a player taking advantage of news on a thinly traded stock. A player could move a stock that trades that thinly just to distort the game.

If we allow this stock, priced at the lower of the close Friday or the close Monday, if it trades Monday, then that could appear to offset the risk that pending news was about to be announced.

But some news takes more than a day to come out. Such as hiring a new key employee or refinancing debt or many other company-changing events.

I would agree to price it at the lower of last Friday's close or next Friday's close, or not allow it.

But even this requires extra work for you, so if that is too much work (and similar extra effort for any player monitoring trades to verify them), then you can kill it.

Elroy,

No problem, though you probably should close out my OPEN short and sell the BCSI as they were not contingent upon the WEST trade.

There is no question that WEST is thinly traded. If you go to the Nasdaq site...

nasdaq.com

...and "Select the Timeframe" for "3 Months" you will get the trading history. The lack of data on Yahoo is a puzzle.

Regards,

Glenn
