The only 'self' it is evident to is you... because it fits your narrative.

You're naive if you think a "depression" was averted in the course of five months by committing to spend money that hasn't even been spent yet. It is a silly proposition.

I agree that I was wrong about opposing TARP I. By acting quickly and lending out that money Bush probably saved the economy from something more severe. I felt at the time that it was too much too quick that would result in wasteful spending of the money.

But what Obama has done isn't about saving the economy. It is first about saving the unions, and then about socializing and nationalizing as much of the economy as the people let him get away with.
