I hope (and think) that the company will continue to act as a conduit for income from the Syncrude project. It may be that they will be more open to a buyout. In any case, stockholders will have shares in a very lucrative and long-lived property. Should they start talking about acquiring other businesses, however, I would start looking for something else to invest in. The only thing they have done so far along this line was to acquire some undeveloped natural gas properties.
