I'd be interested in hearing stories from you or anyone else who uses online trading. I'm a reporter with Bloomberg News, and we're looking for comments from individual investors for a story we're doing on Internet trading on big volume days. You can e-mail me at steffy@bloomberg.net or call (972) 335-8910. You also can talk to Monique Wise, who's working on the story too. She's at (212) 318-2608.
Any responses are appreciated.

On a normal day it is as fast or faster.

6 months ago Datek had a couple of T1 lines today they have at least 3 T3 lines.

Dateks last high low and volume used to always be slow, they now are very upto date most times.

Of course on a day like today when NASDAQ has traded over 1,100,000,000 while NYSE has traded over 1,000,000,000 with a half an hour to go. Every broker in America has had problems of one sort or another from SOES being down to god only knows what. Datek has problems too. Everyone was happy yesterday but pissed today because they thought service sucked, like I said earlier, check around SI people are bitching about every broker.
