A little late but here is my take on the NY city demo:

Just got home ....Stayed the night in Atlantic City and was sure to
give Donald Trump a little money before I left ! Anyway that is beside the point.

After sitting in the holland tunnel which seemed like all day and then
driving around NY for a while, I realized one thing ! I never want to go back to NY City! It was on the 50th floor, very nice view, very nice setup. Frank began the night with a brief history of how he got started in his garage many years ago and progressed up to where we are. All the while there was a beautiful new shiny Tempest sitting up there! He seemed very confident and determined. One thing he did say that caught my attention was "Telephone Company" referring to FTEL. The whole idea he said was to have "NO",I repeat "NO" long distance charges ever again! He said he wants to make the telephone a little toy you can have fun with..adjusting volume, delay, etc. He also stated that out of 100 phone calls he had 1 that had a bad connection and had to redial. Not a bad ratio! I thought they sorta rushed thru with almost everybody saying a few words and started taking questions from the crowd. I could be wrong but I think there were still people wanting to ask questions when that part was thru but I think everyone was anxious to try out the Tempests' in the other rooms. The only problem was getting outside phone lines from the hotel.Once you got an outside line you were OK.I made 3 calls..2 dialing into the local NY area thru the net into PA.Folks, people on the other end did not notice anything different. My first call had to have the delay adjusted. Easy enough..just press * 4. and done! After you are thru you can hang up or hit * 8 to make another call, anywhere. My last call was a little different!
Tom and Rebecca(a Knockout! couldn't resist) set it up to dial into their Westlake Village Facility and from there all the way to Ft. Lauderdale,Fla to a friend of mine with clarity you could hear a pin drop! This is the real deal! We all got a calling card to use for a while to test it out. Which I will be doing! There was finger food and drinks and a nice time was had by all,I'm sure! Met a lot of nice people from this board and would like to thank Neil Wicker and Harlen for the ride up. Only thing I can say is buy the stock and like they say in Brasco......."Forget about it"!
To the moon, Alice!
