A) the amount of MONETARY STIMULUS and easing (central banks) VASTLY exceeds the modest amount of fiscal stimulus that has been rolled out... B) with the 'fiscal stimulus' (tax cuts and spending) probably more then THREE QUARTERS of it hasn't even hit the streets yet... (so, don't expect any effect - other then PSYCHOLOGICAL - from it until well into next year anyway). C) All the monetary and all the world's fiscal stimulus put together (that's been rolled out globally so far) is still VASTLY EXCEEDED by the amount of liquidity that has ALREADY BEEN WITHDRAWN from the global economy so, at best, all it can do is moderate the worst effects of the global depression. NOT avoid it. At best we can keep things from getting WORSE, and perhaps we can short-circuit the downturn... shorten the period of depression.
