As if consumers count... Consumers Less Optimistic About Economy, Poll Shows 6/23/2009 1:26 PM ET (RTTNews) - According to a new Gallup Poll released Monday, consumers' mood towards the economy dropped slightly last week as stocks faltered and gas prices continued to rise. The poll, which surveyed 1,000 adults, showed that 49% of Americans rate the economy as "poor." This compares to the 47% from the last poll. It is also the highest percentage since the week ended April 26.
