about 30 billion a week. 1.5 Trillion is to be printed in

The goal was to bring down mortgage rates, but bond holders
got spooked by inflation instead, at least so far. More
accurately, there is too much supply of T-bonds from
the treasury for these markets to handle.

Ben's re-appointment is to be decided shortly.
This might influence what the Fed does, in particular, to
generate recovery at any cost, either fake (with a great
deal of inflation) or real (unlikely). -g-
