There were so many 'ifs' and caveats in those posts that I'll believe what Buffett himself said. And as for the progressive part, you didn't challenge what I said on hedge fund carried interest, and that, along with cap gain and bond tax benefits makes the 'true' rate lots of rich folks pay way lower than many think... I also see corporations crying about how 'high' the US corporate tax rate is, but then one looks at studies showing that very few of them pay anywhere near it!
