Saturns are the only American vehicles I've never had any trouble with.

The only vehicle I have never had any trouble with is the Toyota Yauris, but it only has 10,000 miles on it. Keep them over 100,000 miles and you will have some problem. Best two, Toyata Tercel, 5th gear went out at about 90,000 miles. clutch had to be replaced about the same time, but that is to be expected. Caravan, transmission replaced under a recall, but no trouble from it before or after, had the right door handle break from someone tugging too hard on a locked door.
