Right, used to be called Ascendant, had warrants out ... hope they purged the outfit of perps responsible for the worst of those decisions, and if not they better stay north of the Rio Bravo del Norte Not all brown people are exactly alike, surprisingly - some like mining and some don't, some can be swung one way or another by various inducements both substantial and conceptual, both base and noble ... the thing to do when you are unable to convince the great majority of locals to support your resource project, is to stop wasting shareholders' time and money, go away and look for another claim where you find locals more amenable and yourself more competent One thing that could help sell a project to locals in our little corner of maya country, would be to generally speaking take their side against estatal and federal bureaucracies ... only when appropriate and you'd have to be subtle about it of course, but stand with your immediate neighbours and you'll be better off, as you'll be resisting the tendency for all money and power to be sucked off into Tuxtla Gutiérrez and el DF ... at the same time you'd have to recognise that in both capitals there are informed reasonable people, they just may or may not have significant influence at the moment ... the whole history of logging of caoba really points this up, some quite wasteful forestry was done, much of it highly illegal but supported by locals as they got immediate benefit, plus they got to stick it to the corruptos in control of government, that was a big factor in some cases ... lots of tricky judgment calls in this, but bottom line is you're sunk without the support of your neighbours Anyway i added a few hundred Dynasty today ... another outfit with about the lowest political risk imaginable is Metalline, the escudo of the municipio Sierra Mojada has a miner and his tools most prominent, they've mined before and would very much like to mine again, some work for mmg now but a lot more will following bigtime startup, they're strongly onside, which means management is competent in that respect A punter of size would do well to check out these projects personally, or hire a good spy to do so, maybe just hitchhike in looking for work, play it cool, hang around for a while and get to know what's really up, and why ... remember Manhattan man.to, well a lot of bucks might have saved there in such a manner - though it may have been a difficult call even then, kinda iffy, sentiment could have gone the other way, might have depended on the later management actions/statements, but at least you wouldn't have relied entirely on predictable info out of management and the anti-mining groups
