I agree on the breakdown idea but i am also sympathetic having been under enormous pressure at points in my own life. I wish him well in private life, where he will be heading soon. (hope so for his own benefit)

He's got a lover. Given that he's an (R), it could likely be a man, or a child. Least likely is a woman, but it's possible.

My money's on nervous breakdown.
