But they weren't called that. The term was coined during the Carter administration. Or, at least, that was the first time I ran across it.

Your point? Excuse me, The Tomahawk and other cruise missiles had TERCOM, which was an extremely sophisticated guidance system. It worked with a set of electronic maps and looked for landmarks to guide the missile to its destination. Now, GPS has obsoleted it, but it doesn't change the fact it was a very smart piece of equipment. Even by today's standards.

I can't help but notice that when you get cornered, you come up with some off the wall post that has nothing to do with the topic under discussion. Anything to avoid manning up to the fact that you are wrong.
