If you are right then that is definitely a game changer but a long steady decline in all asset classes while proclaiming everything is all right seems the more likely outcome to me. Government officials at all levels have consistently lied about what is actually happening, and I see no reason for them to stop now. Stupid people need hope and there are a lot of stupid people in this country, as evidenced by their own actions over the last few years.
